We’ve been proudly serving the Metro Detroit area since 1998, specializing in all types of indoor and outdoor custom water feature design and installation, including ponds, water gardens, waterfalls and pondless waterfalls, maintenance & cleaning services.

Because we are locally owned and operated, we have a unique understanding of the wants and needs of both residential and commercial customers. We enjoy the relationships we maintain with our customers and their projects, and always look for ways to enhance the outstanding customer service that we are known for.

Jeff Michaels, the founder and visionary behind Pondering Waters, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the world of aquatic landscaping. With a background in landscape architecture and a lifelong love for nature, Jeff’s journey into pond construction and water feature design began as a personal pursuit of tranquility and beauty in his own backyard.
Driven by a desire to share the transformative power of water with others, Jeff founded Pondering Waters with a simple mission: to create extraordinary outdoor environments that inspire wonder and connection. His hands-on approach, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction have earned Pondering Waters a reputation for excellence in the industry.
Outside of his work with Pondering Waters, Jeff can often be found exploring the great outdoors, seeking inspiration for his next project, or spending time with his family and beloved pets. With a deep respect for the natural world and a dedication to creating spaces that honor its beauty, Jeff continues to lead Pondering Waters forward, one stunning water feature at a time.
